Darya Danilovich a passé une enfance bercée par de nombreuses émissions de télévision imprégnées de théories complotistes ou éloignées de sa réalité quotidienne. Entourée de ses parents, elle s'emploie à décrypter les messages diffusés afin d'identifier les contenus mensongers.
Dans les trois vidéos exposées, Darya se met en scène en tant que personnalité invitée à témoigner à la télévision. Elle poursuit ainsi sa quête de vérité en passant du statut de spectateur à celui d'acteur. Elle y réalise un cycle de reconstruction de récits de vie et du temps. L'artiste s'attache à recréer les événements qu'elle n'a jamais vus ou vécus.
"Si je souhaite connaître la vérité, je la fabrique moi-même. Il s’agit d’une tentative de recherche de justice imaginaire." confie l'artiste.
Darya Danilovich spent her childhood immersed in television programs steeped in conspiracy theories and far removed from her daily reality. Surrounded by her parents, she set out to decipher the messages broadcast, in order to identify misleading content.
In the three videos on display, Darya portrays herself as a personality invited to testify on television. She thus pursues her quest for truth, moving from the status of spectator to that of actor. Her work is a cycle of reconstruction of life stories and the passage of time. The artist sets out to recreate events she has never seen or experienced.
“If I want to know the truth, I make it myself. It's an attempt to seek imaginary justice,” confides the artist.
