After studying Iberian and Latin American Literature and Civilizations at the Sorbonne, Fabrice Vannier studied at the Beaux-Arts in Paris, from which he graduated in 1989, then at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona in 1990. In his artistic work based on the enigma and the paralipsis, it develops or diverts, by questioning its history, the imagination that halos "the mosaic". His recent works, often presented in situ, notably at the Louvre, at the museums of Évreux and Aegina... reveal, like a system of correspondences and poetic, mythical and biographical reminiscences, an intimate Mediterranean space.
Member of AFEMA (for the study of ancient mosaics) he participates in the seminar of the École Normale Supérieure; directs the restoration of numerous historic sites and monuments in Aquincum, Paris, Amiens and Budapest, where he also worked at the Beaux-Arts from 2000 to 2005. Fabrice Vannier collectively directs the matter/space laboratory with Götz Arndt and Philippe Renault.
