Consumerism through its objects.

 

Jeanne Guien, a graduate of the École Normale Supérieure and an associate professor of philosophy, is a doctoral student at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She is preparing a thesis at Cetcopra (Centre d'études des techniques, des connaissances et des pratiques) on the reduction of the lifespan of objects in contemporary techniques and consumption patterns. His research focuses on the consequences of the new habits introduced by programmed obsolescence and disposable products in our material life.

 

In dialogue with Olivia Sanchez, editor at the Beaux-Arts de Paris and Alain Berland, head of cultural programming.
