2pm-4pm Simon Njami is an independent curator, lecturer, art critic and novelist based in Paris. He is co-founder and editor-in-chief of Revue Noire, a journal of contemporary African and non-Western art. He was artistic director of the first Johannesburg Art Fair in 2008, and co-curated the first African pavilion at the 52nd Venice Biennale in 2007. He is president of the International Festival of Extraordinary Textiles (FITE). He is a member and spokesperson for the Documenta 16 selection committee.
