Viktoriia Oreshko, a painter who graduated in 2024 with honours, is the winner of the 7th edition of the Sisley x Beaux-Arts de Paris Prize for Young Artists.

This prize, co-created by Sisley and Beaux-Arts de Paris, aims to promote emerging talent. To support the artist in her future projects and the launch of her career, Sisley is awarding her a grant and dedicating an exhibition to her next June at its Paris headquarters as part of its Trois Cinq Friedland cultural programme.

“The pictorial work of Viktoriia Oreshko, a painter of Ukrainian origin, is a true realm of liberation, where the raw imagery of war gives way to a delicate reminiscence of the present. Thus her oil paintings on canvas, just like her small-format works on wood, are by no means testimonies, but rather a spiritual means of feeling at home, of rediscovering her home and her everyday objects. Her art has become a raison d’être, a daily impetus to move forward, despite everything, in the perpetual flow of life.” - Makis Malafékas, art historian and writer.

The jury was composed of:
Christine d'Ornano, Managing Director of Sisley and Chair of the Jury
