Among the young foreigners who came to train in Paris, Chinese artists represented a significant proportion of those from Asia, particularly during the first half of the 20th century. The participation in the session of two specialists in this field will enable us to understand the motivations behind the journey from China, as well as the expectations and contributions of training in Paris, and more specifically at the École des Beaux-Arts. The session, introduced by a testimonial from a former student of the École, will echo the exhibition "J'ai une famille" presented at the Musée national de l'histoire de l'immigration.

The REG-ARTS project is supported by the Fondation Malatier-Jacquet, sponsored by the Fondation de France.
