ENTRÉE LIBRE

Round-table discussion organised to mark the publication of Une révolution iranienne : Femme, Vie, Liberté, with Odile Burluraux, heritage curator at the Musée d'Art Moderne in Paris, Chahda Chafiq, writer and sociologist, Rachida El Azzouzi, journalist at Mediapart and photographer, Hugo Vitrani, exhibition curator at the Palais de Tokyo and Julien Sirjacq, artist and head of studio at the Beaux-Arts in Paris.

Her name was Mahsa Amini, a young Kurdish woman killed by the Iranian vice police on 16 September 2022.
More than 100 graphic artists and press cartoonists are committed to supporting the fight for women's rights and freedom in Iran, with posters and graphic creations inspired by the posters of the Russian and Cuban revolutions, May 68 and the strong, effective graphic codes specific to Persia.
4 institutions - the Beaux-Arts de Paris, the Musée d'art moderne de Paris, the Palais de Tokyo and the Palais de la porte Dorée - have joined forces to publish the first reference work on these struggles. A tribute to struggle and dignity, this book is part of the fundamental struggle for women's and men's rights.

Richly illustrated, this beautiful book brings together more than 250 posters and photographic documents.

This publication is a continuation of the support for Iranian women and men in the face of repression, which took place in March to mark International Women's Rights Day. The Beaux-Arts de Paris, the Musée d'Art Moderne, the Palais de Tokyo and the Palais de la Porte Dorée agreed to decorate their façades and interiors with posters from the Iranian demonstrations, generously printed by the Julien Sirjacq studio at the Beaux-Arts de Paris. This commitment is presented in one of the chapters of the book.
