An artistic director and independent curator, Gaël Charbau founded Particules in 2003, a free independent art journal that he ran until 2010. In 2014, together with Laurent Dumas and Angélique Aubert, he created the "Bourse Révélations Emerige", dedicated to the promotion of young French artists.
The artistic director of the 18th edition of Nuit Blanche in Paris in 2018, he was appointed artistic director of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Village in 2020, with the Manifesto agency. Since 2011, he has organised more than 45 exhibitions in France, Europe and Asia.
He dialogues with Alain Berland on the many actions he has contributed to initiate with public and private sector institutions in favour of the young French artistic scene.
