A proposal by the digital base and the Fresco & Art in Situation course at the Beaux-Arts de Paris in partnership with the Jardin des Serres d'Auteuil

(((écho écho))) is a "situated" sound exhibition, made up of 9 self-portraits created in mirror image with the plants in the garden and greenhouses of Auteuil by students from the Beaux-Arts of Paris and Stockholm, accompanied by the artist Nadine Schütz.

To create their self-portrait, each student visited and explored the garden and glasshouses at length, before choosing a plant, tree or animal, or picking out or inventing stories, gestures and words. Each of the sound creations can be listened to individually, but also as part of a collective composition spatialised specifically for the ficus greenhouse. This is polyphony, a term used in music to describe a technique in which several independent sound tracks are present simultaneously. These sound tracks or parts are superimposed and intertwined to form a spellbinding random composition.
